History of Kadambari College:::

The first music college, named Kalanidhi Sangit Mahavidayalaya, was established in Nepal in 2020 BS, by late Shri. Kadambari Ranga Rao. Shri Kadambari was not only instrumental in founding this institution with other like minded people, but also served as the institute's founding Principal. He worked in Pragya Pratisthan to in-script the notation of Nepalese folk songs. Shri. Ranga Rao respected as a renowned classical vocalist, devoted his entire life for the development of classical music in Nepal. We derive inspiration from his life long work and dedication towards his vocation and respectfully dedicate this educational initiative in his memory. The department of Social Work at Kadambari Memorial College of Science and Management (KMCSM) offers a course of study leading to the degree of Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) affiliated to Purbanchal University, Nepal.
The College was the first institution under Purbanchal University to provide Social Work education. The College was established in the year 2005 as an educational initiative of Sutra Centre for Development Education and Research, a not for profit organization registered with the Government of Nepal. The center "envisions a just and humane society. The center strives to create a future society, where ignorance, inequality, ill health, illiteracy, poverty and powerlessness shall have been eradicated and equitable development takes place through achieving an equal access to education to all the members in the society".
