Admission
at Kadambari College:::
To
be eligible for admission to the degree of Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)
candidates shall comply with the General Educational Regulations of
Purbanchal University. For an entry into Bachelors programme completion
of 10+2 or ISC/ICOM/IA or equivalent with 40 percent marks or equivalent
grades is necessary.
Besides this, the aspiring students have to appear for a written entrance
exam followed by an informal interview which tests if they posses fine
powers of analysis and discrimination, sound judgement, breadth and
flexibility of sympathy. The students are admitted to the BSW course
on the basis of their aptitude, competence and motivation for Social
Work. Whilst not a formal entry requirement we also prefer that students
can display some evidence of voluntary work experience in the welfare
or related fields even if of a short duration. Preference will be given
to those students who achieved academic excellence in their past studies,
represented national sports and arts and demonstrate leadership in extracurricular
activities. Also students from remote, lower caste and ethnic communities
will be given special concessions according to the rules of the government.
In
addition, students from universities outside of Nepal need to provide
evidence of equivalent grades and certificates. However final decision
of an admission rests with the college management committee.
The College provides a quota of scholarships to students from minority
groups, women, dalits, conflict affected, differently abled people and
those sponsored by NGOs.
