NSSW and Alvernia University Collaboration
|
The social work program of making the connection between the students of Alvernia University and Nepal School of Social Work is a very innovative concept. I believe that such a programm will be quiet helpful for the students to understand the importance of social work in an intenational level. Sharing of ideas and exchange of views will surely produce some fruitful results in the days to come. To have got an opportunity to become a participant in this program is very overwhelming in itself. My expectations from this program is to gain more knowledge about the social work related activities prevalent in the other part of the world. Since my field of interest is medical social work especially focusing on children and women and also the youth related issues,I want to learn differences of the situations prevailing. I am also interested in learning new methodologies for approching to these issues. At the same time, I have come to realize that being a part of this project can be a benificial experience via which we can sharpen the skills required to become a skilled social worker.
